Position Summary:
Reporting to the President of EaglePicher Technologies, LLC, the Vice President of Finance is responsible for overseeing and directing all of the financial and accounting functions, including external and internal financial reporting, SOX compliance, financial plans and policies for US and international operations. This individual manages the finance and accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely performance of the day-to-day financial and accounting functions and develops a financial plan for the business unit.
The individual works closely with the President and senior leadership team to enhance the financial planning process to produce a stronger system-wide process for forecasting and measuring financial performance in all areas of the business.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
• Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
• Lead business planning and analysis activities to ensure appropriate alignment with strategic and operating plans; add value to the enterprise with business expertise and financial information to support sound decision-making and effective business management.
• Develop full business understanding and solid working relationships with management team. Provide leadership and decision support in areas such as business performance, functional strategies, portfolio development, pricing analysis, new product and line extension evaluations, asset utilization, capacity analysis, capital expenditures and cash flow.
• Develop an effective, capable organization, as well as the fundamental financial, business and behavioral skills of each team member, which are appropriate for current and next assignment.
• Ensure processes are in place and effective across the EaglePicher businesses for annual Strategic and Operating Plans, monthly forecasting, reporting and financial management in support of the business objectives. Support compliance with corporate financial and accounting policy.
• Lead the understanding and reporting of business performance results, anticipate issues, provide internal/external perspective and recommendations to address issues and improve results.
• Direct the analysis and development of financial expectations linked to Strategic/Operating plans, and ongoing planning and forecasting. Lead the development of competitive analysis and understanding.
• Provide leadership and direction to ensure the financial integrity and excellence of the Finance and Accounting function and systems and reporting of Division business results.

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree required, preferably Finance or Accounting
•Masters Degree desired.
•CPA or CMA required.
•Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in various progressive financial and/or accounting roles, with at least 7 years in supervisory or management roles with a track record of influencing positive change.
•Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing environment supporting P&L for multiple business units.
•Experience with a Fortune 1000 organization desired.
•Experience with SOX compliance.
•Experience and expertise in government contracting, FAR, and DCAA strongly desired. Should be well-versed in government regulations as they apply to government contractors.
•Demonstrated pricing expertise for government proposals.
•Must have experience in developing and implementing financial systems across multiple divisions and countries.
•Must have ERP system experience and strong PC skills.
•Experience with full business operation, including supply chain, plant operations, marketing and sales, strategic impact and relative importance of business assets.
•Must possess the demonstrated ability to develop organizational capability and to hire, train and develop employees.
•U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Location:
EPT’s primary locations are in southwest Missouri, with other locations in southeast Kansas, Plano, Texas, and Vancouver, British Columbia. This position will be located in Joplin, Missouri.
Compensation:
A competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package will be provided, including relocation to the Joplin area. Compensation includes salary, annual bonus and long-term incentives.
