Job Description:

General Purpose of Position: Responsible for analyzing data and preparing information for reports or studies. Work involves accuracy and the ability to make decisions within the limits of general policies and practices.

Key Job Elements:

• Assist with preparation and analysis of General Ledger Financial Statements
• Review assigned general ledger accounts and prepare correcting journal entries
• Perform account analysis and reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts
• Help maintain the general ledger chart of accounts
• Conduct initial internal control evaluations
• Identifies and implements process improvements
• Perform “what if” analysis as required
• Post monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals for assigned accounts.
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close
• Approve and review accounts payable process, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Conduct special projects analysis i.e., cash flow projections.
• Assist with preparation of annual operating budget packages, including supporting income
schedules, written comments/rationale, and a historical comparison of prior year actual.
• Assist with preparation of annual work papers with proper support for the completion of
audit work
• Complete bank reconciliation on a monthly basis
• Maintain the Fixed Assets and Capital Lease sub-ledger in SAP
• Prepare reports as needed by senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Certified Public Accountant or MBA preferred
• Solid understanding of all basic accounting procedures and knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
• Strong technical skills, particular expertise with Microsoft Excel
• Well developed analytical and organizational ability where problems are complex
• Well developed interpersonal and team skills
• Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
• Well developed oral and written communication skills
• ERP experience is a plus, particular experience with SAP
